Ali. F . Jabeen | Chair | Ali has over 20 years in governance, having been a member of several boards as a volunteer trustee/director for several charities that support vulnerable families and their children. Her volunteer role as the Deputy Chair for Homestart Camden & Islington. She was also one of the founder members of the board of trustees, for Homestart London. A member of the ‘Camden Partnership for Educational Excellence’ decision making team and the Chair of the strategy group for the ‘Camden Parent Council’ . She specialises in Parenting Support in all its forms, has run her own practice to ensure the prominence of this type of support within communities. She has extensive knowledge on human rights, the rights of the child and family law. Ali is the operations manager of a specialist of advocacy provision for parents with learning disabilities and or learning difficulties (ESPP) for a charity called the Elfrida Society based in Islington. The ESPP is currently providing advocacy in all London boroughs, alongside referrals from various LA’s uk wide. Ali has extensive experience as an expert advocate herself, training and developing advocates. Her focus is on the strategic development of services for the most vulnerable in our communities. |
Reena Malharkar | Treasurer | A Senior Financial Services Executive with over 20 years of global asset/wealth management /pensions and insurance experience, MBA,CAIA Qualified. Deep expertise of building, evaluating and implementing investment/ product strategies, setting strategic asset allocations, manager search and selection across public and private assets through rigorous application of research, analytical , people and project skills. An approachable, fair and decisive leader with strong experience in navigating complex negotiations and delivering results for the business. I value ownership, accountability and have a passion for innovation, sustainability and continuous learning. |
Jess Reddel | Trustee | Jess joined Doorstep in March 2023. She works as Finance and Operations Lead at Centre for Homelessness Impact. Previously, she worked as Head of Finance and Operations at Streetwise Opera, an opera company who run workshops for people who have experienced homelessness. She also holds volunteering roles with St Mungo’s and other local charities. |
Tsedey Yilala | Trustee | Tsedey joined Doorstep in Oct 2022. She has worked in health and social care for over 20 years and is passionate about families experiencing homelessness. |
Celia Carr | Trustee | Celia joined Doorstep as a Trustee in October 2021. She is a solicitor who formerly worked in corporate tax law, before moving to the public sector. She lives locally to Doorstep in Northwest London. |
Lesley Adams | Trustee | A Company Secretary by profession Lesley lives locally and joined Doorstep in 2018. She has been involved with a number of UK Charities and Committees in a fund raising and administrative capacity. |
Judith Trounson | Company Secretary | Judith joined Doorstep in 2024. Judith is a senior technology executive with 20 years of experience delivering large-scale digital transformation projects in public and private organisations. Judith brings experience in organizational change management, team leadership, compliance and strategy. Judith also serves on a board of her local estate management company. Judith has been volunteering with The Passage and the local foodbank for a number of years and helping the most vulnerable on our society is central to her life’s mission. |
Rakesh Vithalani | Trustee | Rakesh is an experienced Financial Services professional with over 12 years experience across the UK and The UAE. Alongside his professional experience, Rakesh has also spent time volunteering with charities in Argentina & Mexico and spent time teaching at a High School in Malawi. He is passionate about helping others and will use his skills and experiences to further the work being done by Doorstep. |
Roger Burgess | Trustee | Roger is an experienced tech leader and entrepreneur with 20 years experience delivering IT managed services, including to the charitable sector. Since exiting his business in 2022 Roger now assists a number of boards as a Consultant Chief Information Officer leading the technology strategy. Roger lives locally to Doorstep in Bloomsbury. |
